Social robot advisors: effects of robot judgmental fallacies and context

The role of social robots as advisors for decision-making is investigated. We examined how a robot advisor with logical reasoning and one cognitive fallacies affected participants’ in different contexts. participants were asked to make multiple decisions while receiving advice from both during the process. Participants had choose which they agreed and, at end scenario, rank possible options presented them. After interaction, assign jobs robots, e.g. jury or bartender. Based on ‘like-me’ hypothesis previous research mitigation fallacious judgmental decisions, we have compared agreement two each scenario random choice using t-tests, well analysed dynamical nature whether changed their choices based robots’ verbal opinion Pearson correlations. Our results show that an effect responses, regardless fallaciousness, wherein more. Moreover, context, scenarios, also preferred art auction resulted significantly increased robot, whereas detective did not. Finally, exploratory analysis showed personality traits, agreeableness neuroticism, attitudes towards impact was assigned these jobs. Taken together, here effects involve complex interactions between personalities should not be considered single psychological construct.
